Darien Police say they observed a driver traveling in the left lane approaching Exit 13 on I-95 northbound on Sunday, Sept. 22 around 2:45 a.m.

The driver allegedly swerved suddenly to the middle lane and back to the left lane several times without using a blinker and slowed from approximately 80 mph to 45 mph, police say.

Officers say they initiated a traffic stop on the Exit 13 ramp near Post Road and identified the driver as Rudis Interiano, 27, of Stamford.

During interviews, police say they detected the odor of alcohol coming from Interiano’s person. He was subsequently removed from the vehicle and asked to participate in a series of sobriety tests, which police say he did not pass.

Interiano was arrested and transported to headquarters, where his blood-alcohol level was tested at .1459, police say.

Interiano was charged with operating under the influence and operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was released after posting $70 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
